Well Trump did win the presidential election in the USA in 2024, that is a huge letdown. Many are trying find failures in the Harris campaign or the democratic party. I don't see that as being productive. She was a fantastic candidate, and the democrats' policies are mostly on track to help the country and the world climate even. They are not embedded with business interests like Trump and the GOP
That being said, Trump and the GOP are clearly embedded with the business interests to an extreme, and now even the billionaire class...such as with Elon Musk involved in the government now. Trumps message supposedly resonates with the blue collar crowd, but its just talk. In reality he's a con man spewing out words, that he will not adhere too. Half the time he says one thing, then the other half another. So it's a bit like ambiguous lyrics to a song, where anyone can read into it what they want to identify with. But if you ask specifically about what he says, they say 'that's not what he meant' on any topic that he states that contradicts what they wanted to hear
Then there is the clear spin on the Facebook and X type social networking. X formerly twitter had pushed republican messages so they went viral, and completely blocked any democratic messages from going viral, or spreading at all
Newspapers owners who are the billionaire class, blocked the editorial boards of a few papers from endorsing Harris. So the "Free Press" in America is a myth they teach at school only now
Anyway, the final thing is a lot of the blue collar folks voted because they think Trump will actually help them, and the economy. I don't think that will happen. The tariffs will raise costs, making for higher inflation, not lower, If we round up and remove all the immigrant workforce in the USA there will be food shortages, and other shortages from labor. Here where I live the immigrants do all the work in the meat packing plants. The traditional white American workforce do not work those jobs, I myself sort of promised myself never to work in one, they are very dangerous, They are also called a "slaughter house," and for good reason
Similarly in California and Florida, the migrant work force work in all the fields, orange groves, etc. That is where a majority of our food supply comes from. If the workforce is not available for those crops, especially at harvest time. That fruit and crops could rot, instead of getting to the consumers. This could lead to very expensive food, especially fresh food, or large food shortages.
So removing the immigrant work force may not help the USA they way Trump sates. I also say read "the grapes of wrath" about the migrants in the USA. That book was from maybe 1940 or earlier, and things haven't changed much in the last century, like a lot of history, humans do not change much.
With Trump, they may arrest more and more people for petty crimes like marijuana. And put them in the "for profit prisons", which should never have been set up in our opinion. Then use that as a "forced labor" workforce for the crops perhaps. But I don't see that as a good path for Americans, do you?
Lastly, I had really had my hopes up in the last post. That the Women in the USA would vote against trump, and many did I am sure. I thought that they would vote in mass against him for reasons that should be obvious. But that didn't happen. In fact the white women demographic largely swung more to Trump. That pretty much gave the election to him, that demographic and the Latino folks swung more that way.
I don't think this will go well for the country, And probably not as the people that voted for him believe. But they and us will find out now.
Best of luck USA
you took a bad turn at a critical moment in time
in our opinion
